Tigers Primary Logo

The Jackson State Tigers have been proud members of the NCAA since their inception in 1877. The primary logo for the team has remained largely unchanged over the years, with only minor adjustments being made to reflect changes in style and technology.

The original logo was designed by former coach William Bellamy and featured an orange tiger head on a navy blue background. This design was used from 1947 until 1984 when it underwent its first major redesign, introducing white accents around the edges of the tiger’s face as well as adding additional details to make it look more realistic. In 2009, another update saw subtle improvements such as making eyes appear brighter and sharper while also giving them a more three-dimensional appearance overall.

Today’s version of Jackson State Tiger's primary logo is still based on this original design but features several modern updates that give it an even bolder look than before; these include updated colors like black outlines around each feature on both sides of its face along with lighter shades within them creating depth and texture throughout its entire shape - all while still maintaining their classic appeal that fans know so well!
