Shockers Primary Logo
The Wichita State Shockers have a long and proud history that dates back to the 1950s. The primary logo of the team has gone through many changes over the years, but one thing remains constant: it always captures the spirit of being a Shocker.
The first version of their primary logo featured an orange “W” with two lightning bolts coming from either side, representing speed and power. This design was used until 1991 when they switched to an image featuring a basketball player in mid-air shooting for three points with wings on either side; this symbolized determination and strength. In 2004, they changed their logo once again to feature just an orange “W” surrounded by flames - this time signifying passion and energy for both playing hard on the court as well as supporting off it!
Today's current Shocker Logo is still based on that original "W" shape but now features more detail than ever before; including intricate shading around its edges which gives it depth while also showing how much attention goes into every aspect related to being part of such a great organization like Wichita State University Athletics! It truly captures what makes them so special - pride in not only winning games but also having strong academic standards too!
