Panthers Primary Logo

The Eastern Illinois Panthers have a long and storied history in the NCAA, dating back to 1895. Their primary logo has been an integral part of that history since its inception. The current iteration of the Panther logo was introduced in 2007, but its roots trace all the way back to 1929 when it was first used on football helmets.

At first glance, one may not realize how much symbolism is packed into this simple design.
