New York Giants
In the 2000 season, an updated stylized blue and red trim lowercase “ny” returned as the primary logo. Controversy surrounded the change because the team remained in New Jersey.
Giants Alternate Logo
The New York Giants are one of the most iconic teams in the NFL, and their logo has a long and storied history. The team’s original logo featured an interlocking “NY,” first used in 1925. This simple design remained unchanged for nearly 70 years until it was replaced by a more modern look in 2000.
This new look featured a stylized blue “Giants” script across an orange background with white trimming around the edges to create contrasting colors. This classic design remains part of the team's official branding today. However, they have also released several alternate logos to represent different eras, or special occasions within franchise history, such as Super Bowl wins or anniversaries celebrated since its founding in 1925.
In recent years, these alternate logos have become increasingly popular amongst fans due to their unique designs, which often feature elements from past versions while incorporating more contemporary looks into them, such as adding 3D effects or using multiple colors instead of just two before. As such, there is no doubt that these creative takes on traditional branding will continue to be seen throughout future seasons for many years, regardless if they are used exclusively by players during games or marketed towards die-hard supporters alike.
