Panthers Alternate Logo
The Carolina Panthers have used their current logo since the team was established in 1995. However, they have had several alternate logos that reflect North Carolina's culture and history. The first alternate logo featured a black panther with white eyes and a blue outline meant to symbolize strength and power. This design is still an alternative to the primary logo for certain merchandise items or promotional materials.
In 2003, another alternate logo featuring two crossed swords with a shield between them was introduced by then-owner Jerry Richardson as part of his "Keep Pounding" campaign; this design has become popular among fans who want to show their support for both the team and its owner's message of perseverance in difficult times. In 2011, a different version of this same image appeared on some Panthers gear: it features two crossed tomahawks instead of swords alongside three stars representing Charlotte (the city where the team plays).
Finally, there is also a unique secondary mark called “The Claw,” which appears on various products such as hats or t-shirts; it consists simply of four curved lines forming what looks like an abstracted paw print – yet another way. Panther fans everywhere to proudly display their loyalty! All these variations are just one more example of how creative teams can be when designing new logos – something that certainly applies here, given all these great designs from just one organization!
