Saints Alternate Logo
The New Orleans Saints alternate logo has a long and storied history. It was first introduced in 1967 when the team began playing in the NFL as an expansion franchise. The original design featured a fleur-de-lis with gold outlining and white lettering on a black background, representing both the French heritage of Louisiana and faithfulness to God. Since then, several iterations of the logo have evolved to reflect changes within the organization or society at large.
In 1999, for example, they changed their color scheme from black and gold to black and old gold (a slightly darker shade) while keeping their iconic fleur-de-lis symbol intact; this change was made in part due to more modern trends but also because it better matched some other teams’ logos around that period like those used by Atlanta Falcons or Carolina Panthers. In 2006 they updated their look again by adding brighter colors such as navy blue, which was meant to represent strength & power, along with teal accents representing hope & joy - these two elements combined create an overall sense of optimism about not only football success but life itself!
Today's version is much different than it originally started; however, its core values remain unchanged: loyalty towards God/family/community plus dedication towards excellence no matter what obstacles may be encountered along the way – all things that make up the spirit behind who we are today! With each new iteration comes further refinement - ensuring our beloved emblem continues to convey the message “Who Dat Nation” so proudly stands for faithfulness, perseverance through adversity, triumph against odds… Go, Saints!
