Eagles Alternate Logo
The Philadelphia Eagles' alternate logo history dates back to the franchise's early days. The team was established in 1933, and its original logo featured an eagle with a white background and black wings. This design remained unchanged until 1973, when they adopted a new logo featuring two eagles facing each other, one on either side of a football-shaped shield. This version lasted nearly three decades before being replaced by another more modern look in 2003.
The most recent redesign came about as part of an effort to update the team’s visual identity ahead of their Super Bowl victory in 2018. In this new version, both eagles were given more detailed features, such as vibrant colors and sharper outlines that better represent their strength and power on game day. Additionally, small stars were added around the edges for extra detail, symbolizing America's patriotism since Philadelphia is known as “the city of brotherly love,” after all!
Overall, it's clear that many changes have been made to how fans recognize our beloved Eagles' logos over time. Still, despite these modifications, they remain true to who we are - solid yet graceful birds ready to take flight whenever called upon! Our current alternate emblem will stand out amongst its peers while still making us proud every Sunday, no matter what happens at Lincoln Financial Field or elsewhere during NFL season!
