Ravens Wordmark Logo

The Baltimore Ravens are a professional American football team based in Baltimore, Maryland. Since their inception in 1996, the Ravens have had an iconic logo that has become synonymous with the franchise. The primary element of this logo is a shield-like shape featuring two ravens perched atop it. This shield also features two crossed swords and three stars at its base to represent strength and courage – values that embody the spirit of both the city and the team alike.

The original design for this logo was created by artist Fred Bouchat in 1995 when he submitted his drawing as part of a contest held by then-owner Art Modell to create an identity for his newly relocated Cleveland Browns franchise (which eventually became known as the Baltimore Ravens). Bouchat’s concept was chosen out of more than 2,000 submissions from fans across America who wanted to be part of creating history for their beloved NFL team!

Since then, minor changes have been made over time, but overall this classic look remains unchanged today; however, there have been some additional logos added since its introduction, such as alternate wordmarks or secondary symbols like those featured on helmets or jerseys throughout different eras within Raven’s history - all while still maintaining its traditional elements intact which makes it one unique symbol representing not only success on game day but also pride within local community too!
