St. Louis Rams
2000 - 2015
In 2000 following the Super Bowl win, a new logo of a blue charging ram's head with gold horns and a gold outline was designed.
Rams Primary Logo
The St. Louis Rams' primary logo has been a source of pride for the football team and its fans since its inception in 1936. The original logo featured two rams horns facing outward, symbolizing strength and power, which was then adopted by the Los Angeles Rams when they moved to California in 1946. Since then, the design of this iconic logo has undergone several changes over time - from its classic interlocking “LA” with two crossed rams horns to a modernized version featuring three separate elements representing each state where the team plays (Missouri, Illinois, and California).
In 2000, after moving back to St. Louis from Los Angeles, the organization decided it was time for an updated look that reflected their new home city while still honoring their roots as “The Greatest Show on Turf” – thus introducing us all to what we now know as today's current primary emblem: A bold shield shape featuring navy blue lettering above an arch representing both Missouri's Gateway Arch monument and also referencing Roman architecture; below sits two large interlocking gold ram heads beneath a banner reading "StL." This powerful image not only serves as a reminder of how far this franchise has come but also celebrates them being part of one unified city again – something celebrated every game day at The Dome at America’s Center!
Today we celebrate our beloved mascot through countless pieces of merchandise such as t-shirts, hats, mugs, etc. It can be seen everywhere throughout downtown St.Louis proudly displayed on buildings, homes, and cars; you name it! It is incredible how much impact one simple yet powerful symbol can have over generations - making sure everyone knows who reigns supreme no matter which side of town you're standing on!
St. Louis Rams
1995 - 2000
In St. Louis the Rams logo, changed to a wordmark "ST. LOUIS" in yellow on a blue background above the other wordmark "Rams" in blue with yellow border and a blue and yellow replica of the St. Louis Arch. Noticed the similarities to the unused proposed expansion team St. Louis Stallions logo.
