Giants Wordmark Logo

The New York Giants are a professional American football team based in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The franchise was founded in 1925 and has been one of the most successful teams in NFL history. Throughout history, the team has had several logos and wordmarks to represent them on various merchandise and apparel.

The first logo for the Giants was introduced back when they were known as “the Big Blue” during their inaugural season of 1925-26. This logo featured an orange circle with two blue stripes running through it and a white outline that read “New York Football Club” at its center. This design remained unchanged until 1948, when it underwent minor modifications such as adding serifs to all lettering within the circle's perimeter line which resulted in what is now referred to as "the classic" look for this particular mark.

In 1961, however, another major redesign occurred, which saw dramatic changes, including replacing both orange circles from before with red ones while also introducing an elongated oval shape around all lettering inside of it (i.e., Giant). Additionally, this new iteration included three stars above said text - symbolizing each championship won by then up until that point - plus a white banner underneath containing additional information about where exactly fans could find tickets or watch games live on television (i..e., Polo Grounds). Today's version still retains much of these same features but does have some slight differences, such as being slightly more rounded than before alongside having thicker lines separating each element found within its overall composition – making sure no matter how you view it, there will always be something unique about this beloved symbol representing one America's oldest sports franchises!
