Rams Alternate Logo

The Los Angeles Rams have been around since 1936, and their logo has changed quite a bit. The first official logo of the team was simply two large blue rams horns facing each other, which was used from 1948 to 1973. In 1974, they switched to a more modern design featuring an outlined ram’s head with white fur and red eyes in front of a yellow background. This remained until 1999 when they introduced their current primary logo; this features an updated version of the previous one but with gold fur instead of white and three stars above it, representing past Super Bowl victories by the team.

However, throughout all these changes, there have also been some alternate logos that were not as widely used as others or only seen for special occasions such as throwback uniforms or events like Super Bowl appearances. One example is from 1981 when Los Angeles hosted Super Bowl XVII; for this game, they created a unique “LAR” monogram that featured interlocking letters inside an oval shape along with three stars similar to those on their primary logo at that time. Another alternate design was unveiled in 2016 when LA returned after 21 years away from California; it featured two crossed swords below another ram's head silhouette similar to what can be found on today's jerseys. Finally, during the 2020 season, the Rams introduced yet another variation -a shield-shaped crest composed of royal blue stripes topped off by golden Ram horns –which serves as inspiration for various merchandise items available through official outlets.

All these designs show how much thought goes into creating logos that represent teams while still keeping up with changing times and trends to make them look fresh and exciting every year, no matter how long they've been around!
