Ravens Primary Logo

The Baltimore Ravens have a long and storied history when it comes to their primary logo. The original logo was designed in 1996, shortly after the team’s inception as an expansion franchise of the National Football League. This original design featured a shield with two ravens perched atop it, along with a banner reading “Baltimore Ravens” underneath them. A football-shaped ‘B’ was also included in the center of this design to represent both Baltimore and its NFL team.

In 1999, however, the organization decided to make some changes to its primary logo – most notably by removing one of the ravens from atop their shield emblem and replacing it with three stars representing Maryland's flag colors (red white & black). This new version also had more emphasis on purple than before; while still maintaining much of what made up its predecessor's look & feel overall.

Today, nearly twenty years later since these changes were first implemented back in 1999 – this is still very much how we recognize our beloved Baltimore Raven's iconic brand identity today! While there may have been slight tweaks here or there over time - such as making sure that each star has equal size/weight within their crest - for all intents & purposes; this is essentially how they've looked ever since then - which speaks volumes about just how timelessly beautiful yet powerful these symbols are together as one cohesive unit!
