Minnesota Vikings
Again in 2013, the Vikings changed their primary logo to show the profile of a Viking with long gold, braided hair, a large mustache, and bushy eyebrows wearing a gold and purple helmet with two white horns, one on either side of the helmet. The Vikings have used this logo in varying color schemes since their inaugural season. This version here was first used in 2013 and came with several modifications most notably to the horns as well as the overall shape of the logo, especially in the lower left by the hair.
Vikings Wordmark Logo
The Minnesota Vikings have had a long and storied history in the NFL, dating back to their inception in 1961. Their iconic wordmark logo has been with them since then and is one of the most recognizable logos in all of professional sports. Graphic designer Karl Hubenthal created the original design for the team’s inaugural season. It featured an italicized “Vikings” text set atop a shield-shaped background with two crossed Viking swords below it. This classic look lasted until 1964 when minor changes were made to give it a more modern appeal while retaining its traditional roots.
In 1973, another redesign was undertaken, which saw further modernization as well as simplification of both font style and color scheme; this version also added Norse symbols on either side of the text along with horns at each corner above it – giving us what we now know today as ‘the current logo’! Since then, only minor tweaks have been made, such as removing or adding some aspects like stars or stripes, but overall this timeless symbol remains unchanged from its initial inception over 50 years ago - proving how much love fans have for their beloved team!
The Minnesota Vikings' wordmark logo is genuinely one-of-a-kind; it represents decades worth of successful football and embodies everything that makes up Minnesotans: prideful tradition combined with a fierce determination to succeed against all odds! From generation after generation passing down stories about past victories (and defeats) under these colors & crests – there's no denying why so many consider themselves part diehard members of 'Vikings Nation.' As time marches into future seasons ahead, let us never forget where our loyalty lies: right here within these hallowed halls wearing purple & gold proud - SKOL VIKINGS!!
