Minnesota Vikings
Again in 2013, the Vikings changed their primary logo to show the profile of a Viking with long gold, braided hair, a large mustache, and bushy eyebrows wearing a gold and purple helmet with two white horns, one on either side of the helmet. The Vikings have used this logo in varying color schemes since their inaugural season. This version here was first used in 2013 and came with several modifications most notably to the horns as well as the overall shape of the logo, especially in the lower left by the hair.
Vikings Alternate Logo
The first significant change to this alternate logo came in 1998 when Nike became involved in designing NFL teams' uniforms. They gave their spin on what they thought would best represent each franchise’s identity; for example, they changed up some of the details on Minnesota's helmet, such as adding laces along its sides and making it slightly more prominent than before while keeping true to its traditional shape overall. This redesign also emphasized the purple color seen throughout many aspects of Vikings culture today, from jerseys worn by players all way down to fan apparel sold at stores around the state.
Since then, minor changes have been made here or there, but nothing drastic like the 1998 overhaul, which still stands out among other teams' logos even 22 years later. Even though things may constantly be changing within the organization itself, one thing that will remain the same forever is an iconic image associated with a beloved franchise whose roots are deeply embedded into the fabric Twin Cities area, so much so that no matter how times shift fans can always count on seeing familiar face smiling back them every time take field play another game representing proud heritage behind the name “Minnesota Vikings."
