Cavaliers Alternate Logo
The Cleveland Cavaliers have had a rich history of alternate logos since the team's inception in 1970. The first logo was an orange and blue basketball with the word “Cavaliers” written across it, which lasted from 1970 to 1983. In 1984, they switched to a more modern-looking shield logo featuring a white basketball inside of an orange and navy circle with the team name written around it. This version remained until 2003 when they changed their primary color scheme from navy and orange to wine and gold; this resulted in another redesign that featured two swords crossed over one another behind the same white ball as before but now within a wine-colored circle instead of navy blue.
In 2010, after signing superstar LeBron James, Cleveland unveiled yet another new look for their alternate logo – this time featuring King James himself! It featured his silhouette dribbling toward you while wearing his signature headband along with three stars above him representing each championship he won during his tenure there (2007 Eastern Conference Finals MVP Award). From then on out until 2017 when LeBron left again for Los Angeles Lakers; all Cavs merchandise included some variation or reference to this iconic image including t-shirts hoodies hats etcetera...
Today marks yet another era in Cavalier Logo History because just last month (March 2021) we saw them unveil their latest design: A lion roaring proudly atop its throne made up entirely of what appears to be interlocking C’s - presumably standing for ‘Cleveland Cavaliers' - making sure everyone knows who reigns supreme here! This is definitely going down as one of my favorite designs ever created by any professional sports franchise so I'm really looking forward to seeing how much further these guys can take it moving forward into the next season(s).
