Warriors Alternate Logo
The San Francisco Warriors' alternate logo history is a fascinating look into the evolution of the team’s branding. The franchise has had several different logos over its long and storied history, each one representing an important part of the organization’s identity. From their first logo in 1962 to their current “The City” design, these logos have been used to represent both on-court successes as well as off-court marketing and promotional efforts.
In 1967, when they moved from Philadelphia to San Francisco, they adopted an iconic new logo featuring a Native American warrior with two crossed arrows behind him – it was this image that would become synonymous with the franchise for decades to come. This classic design was used until 1997 when it was replaced by a more modernized version which featured only one arrow along with text reading “San Francisco Warriors Basketball Club". In 2011 however, this traditional look made way for something completely new; The City Logo which features a basketball within city limits surrounded by five stars representing Golden State's five NBA championships won throughout its existence (1975–76 season).
Today fans can still see elements from each era reflected in today's official alternate jerseys; while most teams choose not to wear throwback uniforms anymore due to financial reasons or other factors – such as style changes - Golden State continues embracing all aspects of its past through unique designs like those seen on their various alternates jerseys since 2012/13 season. It is clear that despite any changes over time, the beloved warriors will always remain true blue at heart!
