Jazz Alternate Logo
The Utah Jazz has a long and storied history, with an iconic logo that has become synonymous with the team. The original logo was designed in 1979 by then-owner Larry Miller, featuring a cartoonish figure of a jazz musician playing the saxophone. This design remained unchanged for over two decades until 2002 when it was replaced by an updated version that featured more modern elements such as bolder lines and sharper angles.
In 2010, the Jazz unveiled yet another new alternate logo to commemorate their 30th anniversary season in Salt Lake City. This new design featured five stars arranged around what looks like either a basketball or sunburst shape – both of which are symbolic of Utah’s natural beauty and its place within the NBA landscape as one of only three teams located west of Texas (alongside Los Angeles Lakers & Clippers). The star arrangement also reflects upon how many players who have gone on to great success after becoming part of “Jazz Nation” during their time with this franchise throughout its history – including Hall-of-Famers John Stockton & Karl Malone along with current All-Stars Gordon Hayward & Rudy Gobert just to name few!
Today, fans can still find merchandise sporting either version (or both!) depending on where they shop; from t-shirts at local malls all way up through custom jerseys available online stores like Fanatics or Dick's Sporting Goods - there is something for everyone! Whether you're looking for something throwback style celebrating past accomplishments or hoping to get ahead of trends before anyone else does - having access to these different logos helps keep people connected no matter what era they grew up rooting for this beloved team from Beehive State!
