Raptors Alternate Logo
The Toronto Raptors have had many different alternate logos throughout their history. The first logo was introduced in 1995 when the team joined the National Basketball Association (NBA). This logo featured a red and purple basketball with two raptors on either side of it, surrounded by a white circle with “RAPTORS” written at the top. This design was used until 2002 when it was replaced by an updated version featuring a more aggressive-looking raptor head inside of an orange circle.
In 2004, another new alternate logo debuted for the Raptors: this one featured three claws tearing through a black background with “TORONTO” written across them in silver letters. This design remained unchanged until 2012 when they unveiled yet another new look; this time featuring just one claw ripping through an outline of the Toronto skyline silhouetted against blue and white colors to represent Canada's national colors.
Finally, in 2018, the most recent iteration of their alternate logos arrived - A silhouette image depicting two large talons gripping onto what appears to be part of the downtown Toronto skyline along with "WE THE NORTH" text above it which has become synonymous with a motto for all Raptor fans around the world. This is undoubtedly one if not best looking alternative Logos that the franchise ever created since its inception back in 1995 proving that even after 25 years, Raptors still remain relevant while continuously evolving over time.
