Hornets Alternate Logo
The New Orleans Hornets alternate logo has a rich and interesting history. The original logo was introduced in 2002 when the team first moved to New Orleans from Charlotte, North Carolina. It featured an aggressive-looking hornet with its wings spread wide and a basketball tucked under one arm. This design was meant to capture the spirit of Louisiana's capital city by portraying it as strong, determined, and resilient—traits that are now embodied by both the organization itself as well as its fans!
In 2006, the team unveiled their current alternate logo which features a more cartoonish version of their original mascot. This new design is much friendlier looking than before but still captures some of that same attitude from earlier incarnations; however this time around it’s done so in a way that’s more playful than intimidating! The colors used for this particular design are also vibrant yet calming shades of blue and yellow which further emphasizes those themes mentioned above while also making sure not to alienate any potential supporters either due to being too “in your face” or overly aggressive-looking like previous designs had been known for doing at times throughout their existence thus far!
It's clear why many people have come to love these two distinct logos over time: they each represent something unique about what makes up New Orleans' identity—strength through adversity coupled with good vibes all around no matter who you may be or where you come from! That said, whether old school or modern day fan alike can agree on one thing: these two designs have truly become iconic symbols throughout professional sports today thanks largely due in part because how accurately they depict everything great about living life down here along America's Gulf Coast region...and we wouldn't want it any other way either!!
