Warriors Primary Logo
The Golden State Warriors have a long and storied history in the NBA. The team has been around since 1946 when they were founded as the Philadelphia Warriors. Throughout their years of existence, they’ve gone through several logo changes that reflect both their location and identity as a professional basketball team.
In 1971 after moving to Oakland, California, the Golden State Warriors unveiled what would become one of the most iconic logos ever created for any sports organization: The classic blue-and-golden bridge design accompanied by "Golden State" scripted across the top portion of this unique crest which represented not only Bay Area pride but also highlighted how much more connected everyone felt being part of something special together; hence why this particular iteration remains so beloved even today despite numerous iterations throughout recent decades. This version continued until 2011 when another update came out featuring just three letters (GSW) arranged inside an abstract shape resembling a basketball hoop—a nod towards modernity while still managing to remain faithful enough visually speaking compared to previous designs without appearing too generic either way; thus making sure fans could recognize them at first glance regardless if you were looking at jerseys or hats worn proudly amongst diehard supporters everywhere around America & beyond!
