The Orlando Magic is a professional basketball team based in Orlando, Florida. The team was established in 1989 and has been one of the most successful teams in the NBA ever since. The first logo for the Magic was unveiled when they joined the NBA back in 1989 and featured a cartoon-like figure with an orange star on his chest holding a basketball above his head while standing atop an outline of a Florida state map with “Orlando” written across it at bottom left corner and “Magic” written across top right corner along with stars surrounding both words indicating strength and power associated with new franchise name itself as well as city which it represents respectively.
