Ottawa Senators
Known as the Senators Centurion logo, this design features the profile of a Roman senator wearing a gold helmet placed inside a black circle. To the left is a red helmet decoration as well as a flowing gold cape, a semi-circle in gold to the right featuring a series of laurel leaves. The Ottawa Senators used a similar version of this logo until 2007, the color of the cape was changed from red to gold for the 2021 version.
Senators Alternate Logo
The Ottawa Senators have had a long and storied history, dating back to their inception in 1992. Since then, the team has undergone several different iterations of its logo. The first logo was an image of a centurion's head surrounded by two crossed hockey sticks and the words "Ottawa Senators" written in an Old English font. This was used until 1998, when it was replaced with a shield-like design featuring crossed swords behind the word "Senators." This version lasted until 2007, when it underwent another redesign that featured two large Ss intertwined around each other with smaller stars surrounding them.
In 2011, yet another change occurred as part of what is known as the “Sens Army” rebranding campaign, which saw all aspects, from uniforms to logos, being changed drastically. The new alternate logo featured a stylized ‘O’ for Ottawa, inside of which were three red maple leaves representing Canada's national symbol; this emblem also included four white stars at each corner representing both past and present players who have worn the Sens jersey over time. This design stayed relatively unchanged up until 2017, when they tweaked some minor details, such as making one side slightly longer than before while still keeping true to its original look overall; this updated version remains their current alternate logo today!
Overall, throughout their existence, there have been many changes made to how Ottawa represents itself on ice. No matter what iteration is used, they always remain dedicated fans' favorite team regardless! It just goes to show that even after twenty-five years since first taking flight into NHL action back in 1992 -the Ottawa Senators will never forget where they came from or who supports them every single season: we are all #SensArmy together!
