North Stars Alternate Logo
The Minnesota North Stars were an NHL team based in Bloomington, Minnesota from 1967 to 1993. During their time in the league, they had several alternate logos that were used for special occasions and merchandise. The earliest of these was a shield-shaped logo featuring a white star on a blue background with red stripes around it. This logo was first introduced during the 1968–69 season and remained until 1976 when it was replaced by another shield-shaped design featuring two crossed hockey sticks behind an orange star on a black background surrounded by yellow trimming.
In 1982, after changing their name to the North Stars, they adopted yet another alternate logo which featured three stars arranged in a triangle formation within circles inside of each other along with “North Stars” written across them all in white lettering on top of green arcs at either side of them both touching one endpoint each other forming what looks like wings or feathers extending outwards from either side as if flying away into infinity symbolizing freedom and flight respectively. This particular design is still popular among fans today who remember fondly its symbolic meaning associated with being part of such great franchise history!
Lastly, in 1988 they changed this up again introducing their final alternative mark which consisted simply but effectively just one large yellow five-pointed star set against an outline shape resembling that same winged figure previously mentioned however without any words accompanying it this time making sure viewers knew exactly what team you represented no matter where you went or who saw your gear!
Overall, the Minnesota North Star has had many different designs over the years when comes to representing themselves through logos but all share a common theme: pride strength unity & courage - something every fan can relate to even now long after the franchise has moved onto greener pastures elsewhere!
