Ducks Alternate Logo
The Anaheim Ducks have a long and storied history of alternate logos. The first logo was introduced in the 1995-96 season when the team was still known as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. This original logo featured an angry duck wearing hockey gear and wielding a hockey stick. It quickly became one of the most recognizable logos in all of the sports, with many fans proudly displaying it on their jerseys or hats at games.
In 2006, after several years without an alternate logo for their NHL franchise, Anaheim unveiled its first new look since 1995: a fierce-looking anthropomorphic duck that Disney’s creative team had given wings to represent flight and speed. This design also included orange trim around its eyes to signify fire—a nod to California’s state bird (the California quail) and Orange County, where they play home games at Honda Center (formerly known as Arrowhead Pond).
Since then, there have been several other iterations, including two more versions featuring similar designs but different colors; one with black shading over white feathers, while another version had silver shading instead, creating what some call “chrome ducks,” which has become very popular among fans who like modernized looks for teams' branding materials such as jerseys or hats. In addition, there are also two additional versions based on this same concept but using different color combinations, namely green/yellow/orange & blue/white/silver, respectively - making these four distinct designs from which supporters can choose whichever suits them best!
