Kraken Wordmark Logo

The Seattle Kraken is a professional hockey team joining the NHL in 2021. As such, they have been busy designing their wordmark logo to represent the organization and city. The history of this logo has been carefully crafted over time to reflect the spirit of Seattle and its residents while also embodying what it means to be a part of an elite hockey franchise.

The first version of the wordmark was released in 2018 when it was revealed that Seattle had won its bid for an expansion NHL team. This original design featured two bold “K”s side by side with a subtle wave pattern connecting them at each end, symbolizing both strength and fluidity – something significant in any sport, especially hockey, where speed is critical! Additionally, several other elements were included: sharp angles representing power & precision, stars evoking ambition, and blue lettering signifying loyalty & trustworthiness – all combined into one unified representation of this new franchise on ice!

Since then, minor tweaks have been made here and there, but overall, most people agree that this initial concept remains true today: solid yet graceful, ambitious yet reliable - precisely what you want your favorite sports team's brand identity should look like! With just over a year until puck drop (or faceoff?), we can't wait to see how else they may continue refining their mark before taking center stage next season - no doubt making sure every detail perfectly reflects who they are as an organization in the future into 2021+ beyond...
