Dallas Stars
The logo was a silver, beveled star with a silver and black D, outlined in Victory green and silver. For the 2022 season, the Stars brightened the shade of green used on this logo to better match the textile color of their uniforms.
Stars Wordmark Logo
The Dallas Stars have a long and storied history, dating back to 1967 when the team was founded as an expansion franchise in the National Hockey League. They’ve had several logo changes throughout its history, but none more iconic than its current wordmark logo. The Dallas Stars' wordmark logo has been around since 1993 and is one of the most recognizable logos in all sports.
The original design for this classic look featured black lettering with white outlines on a green background—a nod to Texas’ state colors (green & white) and hockey tradition (black). Over time, however, it has evolved into something much more distinct: silver letters with black outlines against a deep red background that stands out from other teams’ logos due to its unique style and color scheme. This modern version is often called “the Lone Star Logo" because it features five stars beneath each letter spelling out “DALLAS STARS."
Today's distinctive look pays homage not only to traditional hockey designs but also celebrates Texas pride by incorporating elements from both cultures into one timeless symbol for fans everywhere who proudly wear it on t-shirts or hats whenever they go watch their beloved team play at American Airlines Center or any other NHL arena across North America!
