Astros Alternate Logo
The Houston Astros have had a long and storied history of changing up their logos over the years. From the classic star logo to the modern "H" logo, each iteration has been unique and memorable in its own way. In this essay, we will take a look at some of these different alternate logos that have been used throughout Astros' history.
One of the most iconic alternate logos for Houston is their star-shaped design from 1975 to 1993. This was one of their longest-running designs and featured an orange five-pointed star with two crossed baseball bats inside it along with white lettering spelling out “Astros” on top and “Houston” on the bottom. It was simple yet effective, capturing both elements necessary for any good team logo: recognition value as well as team pride!
Another popular alternative design came about in 2000 when they unveiled a new version featuring an interlocking "H" shape surrounded by blue stars representing Texas's Lone Star State status - quite fitting considering how much Texans love sports! The colors were also changed from primarily orange to navy blue which gave it more depth than before while still maintaining its recognizable form factor among fans all around MLB stadiums nationwide (and beyond). While not seen very often today due to changes in branding direction since then, this particular design still remains one beloved by many Astros supporters across generations who fondly remember what made them so special back then - namely that boldness combined with tradition all contained within just two letters alone!
