Los Angeles Angels
In 2005, the Angels simplified the logo by removing the background diamond and the wordmarks. The “Big A” font changed to a font that is similar to Bruce Double Pica with a two toned red and a thick blue trim. The halo at the top is silver with a blue background.
Angels Alternate Logo
The Los Angeles Angels have a long and storied history with their alternate logos. For over half a century, they have used various versions of the iconic “halo” logo to represent the team in different ways. The first version was created by artist Terry Smith in 1964 and featured an orange halo behind an interlocking “LA” on a white background. This design was used until 1970 when it was replaced by another version featuring two halos surrounding the same letters, this time on a navy blue background.
In 1995, yet another variation of the logo emerged which included three halos around either side of an updated script font for "Los Angeles". This look lasted until 2003 when it underwent its most drastic change yet; replacing all three rings with one large red halo encircling both words on top of black wings spread out from each letter like an angel's wingspan across a bright yellow sky backdrop - creating what is now known as 'the winged-halo' logo that has become synonymous with Angels baseball ever since then!
Today, while some minor variations exist (such as changing colors or adding more detail), this classic design remains largely unchanged since its inception nearly 20 years ago - a testament to how beloved fans find it among other teams' logos throughout Major League Baseball (MLB). It serves not only as recognition for those who follow LA's baseball team but also symbolizes hope and optimism that comes along every year during spring training season – something any Angel fan can appreciate!
