Guardians Alternate Logo
The Cleveland Guardians have a long and storied history when it comes to their alternate logo. The team first adopted the iconic “C” with wings in 1902, making it one of the oldest logos still in use today by any Major League Baseball (MLB) team. This design has been used on various uniforms over the years, including those worn during some of their most successful seasons. In recent years, however, they have also introduced several other alternate logos that pay homage to different aspects of Cleveland's rich baseball heritage.
One such example is their "Guardians Shield" logo which was unveiled for the 2019 season and features an image of Chief Wahoo – a Native American figure who served as the mascot for many decades before being removed from official MLB merchandise due to concerns about cultural appropriation. This new design pays tribute not only to this important part of Cleveland's history but also serves as a reminder that everyone should be treated equally regardless of race or ethnicity - something all fans can get behind!
Finally, there is another popular alternative logo featuring two crossed bats above an orange circle with interlocking letters spelling out “CLE” inside - representing both city pride and unity among its players and supporters alike! This particular emblem was designed by local artist Alex Pardee back in 2016 as part of his series titled "City Heroes", highlighting cities across America through illustrations inspired by comic books superheroes like Batman & Superman. It has since become yet another symbol associated with Guardian fandom everywhere thanks to its bold colors combined with unique style elements that make stand out amongst other teams' designs while still retaining the true spirit that makes up a great organization like theirs: strong leadership coupled with unwavering dedication towards achieving success no matter odds stacked against them!
