Reds Alternate Logo
The Cincinnati Reds have a long and storied history, and their alternate logo is no exception. The team has had several different versions of the Reds’ logo over the years, each one representing a different era in the team’s history.
One of the most iconic logos for this franchise was used from 1968 to 1992. It featured an old-fashioned baseball with crossed bats behind it with “Cincinnati Reds” written across in red lettering on top of a white background. This design was also used as part of its uniforms during this time period, adding to its popularity amongst fans and players alike.
In 1993, when Marge Schott took ownership of the club she wanted something more modern looking than what they were using before so she commissioned artist Tom Browning to create an updated version that would represent her vision for what she wanted out of her new club's identity moving forward into future seasons - thus creating their current alternate logo which features two interlocking C's surrounding by stars along with "Reds" written beneath them all on top again another white background but now featuring black trimming around it instead like before giving off much bolder look overall compared previous one making sure everybody knew who they were seeing whenever take the field or appear any promotional materials related them at the same time too! All these changes ultimately helped shape not only how people viewed Cincinnati Red organization but also established a strong foundation upon which still stands today even after almost three decades since first being unveiled back then as well!
