Rays Alternate Logo
The Tampa Bay Rays have a long and storied history with their alternate logo, particularly in relation to the Tampa Bay Rays Wordmark logo. Since the team's inception in 1998, they have used several different logos to represent them on and off the field. The first official alternate logo was introduced in 2002, featuring an image of a shark attacking a baseball bat. This design was meant to capture the spirit of competition that exists between teams within Major League Baseball and also provide an edgy look for fans to identify with.
In 2006, the Rays debuted another new logo which featured two rays swimming together above some waves along with “Tampa Bay” written underneath it all. This design gave off more of a nautical feel than its predecessor while still representing strength through unity among players on both sides of the diamond; ultimately becoming one of their most popular designs yet!
Most recently in 2017, Tampa Bay released yet another alternative logo which features three crossed bats behind home plate as well as “Rays” written across them diagonally from the top left corner down towards the bottom right corner - this time around taking inspiration from classic Americana imagery rather than any aquatic themes found previously throughout various iterations over years past! All these logos are surefire ways for fans everywhere to show support while giving a nod back at the team's rich history no matter where they may be located geographically speaking or what era we currently exist within today when looking into future prospects ahead!
