The Miami Marlins have a long and storied history when it comes to their wordmark logo, particularly in relation to the Miami Marlins Primary logo. The team first started out as the Florida Marlins in 1993, and the original logo featured an orange “M” with a marlin jumping through it. This design was used for five years before being replaced by another version of the same concept in 1998. This new version had a more modern look, featuring an aqua “M” with two marlins swimming around it instead of one leaping through it.

In 2012, after changing its name from Florida to Miami, the team unveiled yet another iteration of its classic wordmark logo; this time featuring just one large white letter M on top of an orange background that resembled flames or waves depending on how you looked at it. Although some fans felt like this new design didn't capture what made them unique as a franchise compared to other teams across Major League Baseball (MLB), many others appreciated its sleekness and simplicity which still managed to convey both power and speed - something most logos fail miserably at doing!

Overall though regardless if they liked or disliked each individual change throughout these different iterations over time; all fans can agree that no matter what form they take - whether old-school traditional designs or more modern ones - there is no denying that every single Miami Marlins' wordmark has been iconic in its own right!
