Wizards Primary Logo
The Kansas City Wizards are a professional soccer team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The team has been around since 1996 and is currently part of Major League Soccer (MLS). Throughout the years, the club has had several different logos to represent its identity. In this essay, we will take a look at some of the primary logo history for the Kansas City Wizards.
The first logo used by the franchise was unveiled in 1996 when they were known as "the Wiz". It featured an image of a wizard wearing blue robes with stars on them and holding up his staff while standing atop two crossed swords that formed an X shape. This design was meant to symbolize strength and courage which have been associated with wizards throughout literature and mythological stories over time.
In 2000, after being acquired by Lamar Hunt Jr., owner of MLS' Columbus Crew SC, they changed their name from "The Wiz" to "Kansas City Wizards". To reflect this change they also updated their logo featuring an image of a white wizard's hat on top of two red stripes that resembled flames or lightning bolts depending on how you looked at it; these represented speed which is something associated with both sports teams as well as magic users like wizards themselves! They kept this same design until 2007 when it underwent another transformation into what we know today: A black silhouette representing both power and mystery encircled by four stars - one for each corner post - all set upon blue background colors reminiscent of those found within nature itself here in KCMO!
Overall, through its various iterations over time; The Primary Logo History for The Kansas City Wizards remains consistent despite changes made due to ownership or even just simple rebranding efforts – always conveying strength & courage alongside speed & mystery – ultimately creating one unified visual representation uniquely suited towards capturing fan loyalty across generations alike!
