Sounders FC Primary Logo
The Seattle Sounders FC is a Major League Soccer (MLS) team based in Seattle, Washington. The team has been around since 1974 and has gone through several logo changes over the years. In 2009, the club unveiled its current primary logo which features an updated version of its original shield design with a modern twist.
The primary logo is composed of three elements: A blue and green shield shape with a white outline; an image of Mount Rainier surrounded by evergreen trees; and the words "Seattle Sounders FC" written in bold typeface across the top half of the circle. The colors used for this design represent both nature's beauty as well as strength - two traits that are essential to success on any soccer field!
In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, there are also various symbolic meanings behind each element within this emblematic badge: The mountain symbolizes power while its surrounding trees signify growth; meanwhile, both blue and green represent water – something that’s abundant throughout much of Seattle's landscape! Finally, “Sounders” references not only one’s ability to hear sound but also stands for courage – another quality necessary when competing against opponents on any given day. All together these components come together beautifully to create an iconic representation of what it means to be part of such a beloved organization like MLS' very own Seattle Sounders Football Club!
