New York City FC Alternate Logo
New York City FC's alternate logo history is an interesting story that speaks to the team's commitment to their city and fanbase. Established in 2013, NYCFC was initially affiliated with Manchester City of the English Premier League. The original alternate logo featured a shield with four stars above it, representing each of New York’s five boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Staten Island. This design also included a blue stripe across the top half of the shield symbolizing the unity between all five boroughs as well as two white stripes at either side signifying hope for future success on behalf of NYCFC fans everywhere.
In 2016 however, NYFCC chose to part ways with its affiliation with Manchester City and decided instead to create a new identity for itself outside this partnership; one that would better reflect its own distinct values as an independent soccer club from New York itself rather than being associated too closely with another organization abroad. Thus they unveiled yet another revised version featuring three stars above its redesigned crest which was meant to represent “the past present & future” within both NYCFC’s history & potential going forward into 2020+.
The most recent iteration features two bold red lines running vertically down either side of its modified crest – these are said by many supporters to be symbolic not only of victory but also of strength and resilience throughout any adversity faced by such fanatics behind this beloved franchise over time (i..e winning games against tough opponents). All together then these various aspects help make up what has become known today simply as “The Big Apple Shield" - one which proudly stands out amongst other MLS teams alike while still paying homage back home here in America's largest metropolis!
Overall then it can be seen how much thought went into crafting each individual element found within NYFCC's multiple logos since inception until now - thus making them truly unique symbols indeed when compared alongside others around Major League Soccer altogether! From humble beginnings all those years ago up through today, we have witnessed firsthand just how far this team has come along thanks mainly due to the dedication put forth by everyone involved including players coaches staff members alike plus countless loyal followers who continue to show unwavering support despite whatever may come ahead...all making clear why so many consider "NYC Football Club" quite possibly greatest sports franchises ever created right here our very own backyard!
