Real Salt Lake Alternate Logo
Real Salt Lake’s alternate logo history can be traced back to the team’s inception in 2004. The original Real Salt Lake crest was a shield with an image of the Wasatch Mountains in the background and two soccer balls at its base. This logo was used until 2007 when it underwent a major redesign that included a more modern look and feels as well as updated colors. The new design featured an abstract mountain range behind three stars representing Utah's tri-state area: Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming.
In 2010 Real Salt Lake unveiled its third alternate logo which incorporated elements from both previous designs while also adding some unique touches of its own such as incorporating “RSL” into the mountainscape on top of a blue sky with white clouds along with four silver stars above them symbolizing strength and unity among players on the field. In addition to this, the primary color palette for this version shifted away from traditional red & black towards lighter shades like navy & light blue which were meant to represent hope for brighter future days ahead.
Finally, in 2016 another revision took place where RSL went back to using only two colors (red & black) but still kept certain features such as four silver stars above the mountainscape signifying the same idea about strength through unity within the organization. Additionally, they added an "R" letter inside one star making sure everyone knows what club is being represented here no matter what angle you're looking at it from. All these changes have been made over the years to keep up with the times while also staying true to core values associated with the club since the beginning thus creating an iconic brand identity that will last forevermore throughout the MLS world!
