Chivas USA Primary Logo

Chivas USA is a professional soccer team based in Los Angeles, California. The team was founded in 2004 and plays its home games at Dignity Health Sports Park. Chivas USA has gone through several logo changes since its inception, each one reflecting the club’s commitment to providing an exciting experience for both players and fans alike.

The first primary logo of Chivas USA was unveiled on August 11th, 2004 at the Home Depot Center (now known as Dignity Health Sports Park). This original design featured a white shield with blue trim around it that contained two “C” letters intertwined together with red stars above them representing the colors of Mexico's flag - green, white, and red - which symbolized their ties to Club Deportivo Guadalajara from Mexico City (more commonly referred to as simply "Chivas"). Additionally, there were three golden stripes along the bottom edge of this crest showing off another important aspect; their connection to Major League Soccer (MLS) within North America.

In 2012 when Jorge Vergara took over ownership he decided it would be best for all involved if they changed up their look once again by introducing a new badge that dropped some elements while adding others such as replacing those three MLS stripes with four thin lines representing strength & unity among everyone associated with the organization plus making sure his beloved rooster mascot remained part of this updated version too! This last change proved so popular amongst supporters that after only two years they decided not to make any further adjustments going forward thus maintaining what many consider now iconic representation throughout Southern California & beyond!
