Sporting Kansas City Alternate Logo
Sporting Kansas City is a professional soccer team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The team has had several alternate logos throughout its history that have been used on merchandise and promotional materials. These alternate logos often feature different colors or designs than the traditional Sporting KC logo to help attract new fans and appeal to existing ones.
The first alternate logo was introduced in 2011 when Sporting KC changed its name from the Kansas City Wizards to reflect its new identity as an MLS club. This logo featured two crossed swords with a shield design at the center of it, along with blue and white stripes running across it horizontally representing unity between players, staff members, and fans alike. It also included three stars above representing each of the three major trophies they won while under this name (MLS Cup 2012 & 2013; US Open Cup 2015).
In 2017 another alternative crest was released featuring a more modern look for Sporting KC’s branding efforts that year which included updated uniforms as well as an overall rebranding effort by Major League Soccer clubs nationwide including teams like Atlanta United FC who adopted similar color schemes for their own kits during this time period too! This second crest features four points coming together at one point resembling both compass directions but also symbolizing how all parts of society come together around sports such as soccer - something we can all relate to regardless of background or nationality!
