Chivas USA Alternate Logo
Chivas USA is an American professional soccer team based in Los Angeles, California. The club was founded in 2004 as a Major League Soccer (MLS) expansion franchise and has been playing since 2005. Throughout its history, the team has had several alternate logos that have been used for special occasions or to commemorate important events.
The first alternate logo used by Chivas USA was unveiled during the 2006 season to celebrate the team's two-year anniversary. This logo featured a shield shape with blue and red stripes along with “Chivas” written across it in white font against a black background. The second alternate logo was introduced during the 2008 season as part of their “Goals for Education” campaign which sought to raise money for local schools through donations from fans who purchased merchandise featuring this new design. This one featured a more modern look than its predecessor; it included an orange circle surrounding four stars representing each year of Chiva's existence at that point while also having "CHIVAS" written across it again but this time using the gold font on top of green background coloration.
Finally, Chivas USA released another alternative crest prior to their final season before disbanding after 2014 when they switched ownership groups and rebranded into LAFC; this one returned back towards traditional designs similar seen on other clubs' crests like FC Barcelona's famous badge which features two overlapping circles containing stylized lions inside them symbolizing Catalonia region where Barca hails from while also including text stating: "Club Deportivo Guadalajara". It replaced all previous logos previously employed by ChivaUSA thus becoming the last official mark worn by players before switching over permanently LAFC branding ahead 2015 MLS kick-off date. All these three distinct badges will forever remain part associated with the club's legacy despite no longer being active members North American premier soccer division anymore.
