CF Montreal Primary Logo

CF Montréal is an MLS soccer team based in Montreal, Canada. The club has a long and proud history that dates back to the early 1970s when they were known as the Montreal Manic. Throughout its years of existence, CF Montréal has had several different primary logos representing its identity and heritage.

The first logo used by CF Montréal was adopted in 1972 when they became known as the Montreal Manic. It featured a blue shield with white stars above it along with two crossed flags – one Canadian flag and one Quebecois flag – below it on either side of an orange “M” for “Montreal” inside of which was written “Manic Soccer Club” in black letters against a yellow background. This logo represented both the city's French-Canadian culture and its passion for soccer all at once, making it iconic among fans from day one!

In 2012, following some changes to ownership structure within Major League Soccer (MLS), CF Montréal unveiled its current primary logo: A stylized letter M formed out of four maple leaves placed around what appears to be a mountain peak or volcano erupting underneath them; this symbolizes both Mount Royal (a prominent feature located near downtown Montreal) as well as strength through unity between players who come together under this crest each season! Additionally, there are three red stars at each corner representing past successes achieved by previous teams while playing under various names since 1972 - such victories include winning two CONCACAF Champions Leagues titles during those eras too! Finally, there is also text reading "Club de Foot" included beneath everything else which translates directly into English meaning "Soccer Club".
