Clash Primary Logo

The San Jose Clash Primary Logo History dates back to the team’s inaugural season in 1996. The logo was designed by Terry Smith and features a shield-shaped crest with two stylized clashing swords, representing the team's aggressive style of play on the field. The colors used for this design were black, teal, and white; these colors remain as part of San Jose Clash's identity today.

The original logo also featured a soccer ball at its center, which has been replaced over time with different variations such as an eagle or a starburst pattern. This change was made to give fans more options when selecting merchandise featuring their favorite club’s branding elements. In addition to changing up the center of its primary logo throughout history, they have also modified some aspects like font type or size while keeping true to its original concept since day one: “Clash On!”

Today, although it may look slightly different than it did when first created all those years ago; San Jose Clash still proudly displays their iconic primary logo on all official merchandise and apparel released each year during match days at Avaya Stadium in California where they continue playing professional soccer every season since 1996 making them one of oldest teams in Major League Soccer (MLS).
