Dynamo Primary Logo

The Houston Dynamo Primary Logo has a long and storied history that dates back to the team’s inception in 2006. The original logo was designed by Anheuser-Busch, one of the founding sponsors of Major League Soccer (MLS). It featured an orange shield with a white star in its center, representing Texas’ Lone Star State nickname. The words “Houston Dynamo” were written across the top in black lettering and two crossed soccer balls at its base represented the sport. This logo served as Houston's primary mark for four years until it was replaced by another design from AIGA DesignWorks USA in 2010.

This new version featured a bolder look with orange flames surrounding an aggressive-looking bull head wearing a crown made up of five stars taken from Texas' flag symbolizing strength and power; beneath this lay three lightning bolts representing the speed, energy, and passion while still keeping true to their roots through incorporating traditional Mexican colors into their design scheme - red & yellow stripes on either side further accentuate this point. Furthermore, they also changed out "Dynamo" for just "HOUSTON" which gave them more flexibility when promoting themselves internationally since many countries don't recognize or use American sports teams' nicknames as we do here domestically within our own borders so having just a city name helps make sure everyone can understand what your talking about no matter where you are located around the world.

Since then there have been some minor tweaks such as color adjustments but overall both logos remain recognizable symbols associated with Houston's professional soccer team even today after almost 15 years since first being introduced fans continue to show loyalty and devotion towards the franchise each time they take field represent city proud fashion all over globe. With the strong foundation set in place to expect to see variations, these designs continue to be used well into the foreseeable future as the club looks to build upon the success already achieved far and create an even brighter tomorrow ahead!
