Union Alternate Logo

The Philadelphia Union is a professional soccer team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The team was founded in 2008 and has been playing ever since. Throughout the years, the club has had several alternate logos that have become iconic symbols of both the city and its beloved soccer club.

The first alternate logo for Philadelphia Union was released in 2012 to commemorate their fourth season as an MLS franchise. This logo featured a shield with two crossed swords behind it which symbolized strength and courage - qualities that embody what it means to be part of this great city’s sports culture. This logo also included stars at each corner representing each unique borough within Philly itself; North, South, East & West Philly were all represented here!

In 2015 another new alternative crest was unveiled featuring two horses facing off against one another – again signifying strength but also the unity between rival areas or teams within our great city limits! It symbolizes how we can come together as citizens even when tensions may be high – something many Philadelphians can relate to! In addition to these main elements, there are various other motifs hidden throughout this design like musical notes from Rocky Balboa's theme song “Gonna Fly Now” along with representations of some of our most famous landmarks like City Hall & Independence Hall among others…all coming together perfectly on one unified badge for us all to proudly wear out into battle every time we take on any opponent no matter who they may be!
