Burn Primary Logo
The Dallas Burn primary logo has a long and storied history. It was first introduced in 1996 when the team joined Major League Soccer, becoming one of the original ten teams in the league. The logo featured a red, white, and blue shield with an American flag pattern across it. Inside this shield were two crossed soccer balls that were set against a black background with yellow flames surrounding them. The yellow flames represented fire and passion for soccer while also being representative of Texas’s Lone Star State Flag which is also incorporated into the design by way of its colors: red, white & blue.
The current Dallas Burn primary logo was unveiled in 2003 to coincide with their move from Cotton Bowl Stadium to Pizza Hut Park (now Toyota Stadium). This new version features three stars inside an orange circle representing each championship won by FC Dallas (formerly known as ‘Dallas Burn’) over its twenty-year history; these championships include two MLS Cups (1997 & 1999), one U.S Open Cup title (1997) and five Lamar Hunt US Open Cup titles between 1997 - 2016). In addition to this change came several other visual modifications including updated font styles for both words within their name as well as changes made to how they display their starburst pattern around said circle containing three stars.
Overall, despite having undergone several iterations since joining Major League Soccer back in 1996 – most recently updating their look just last year – FC Dallas continues to honor tradition while simultaneously pushing forward into modernity through subtle updates that keep up with changing times without losing sight on what got them here today: A proud legacy steeped deep within North Texas culture dating all way back before even then!
