Wiz Primary Logo
The Kansas City Wiz Primary Logo has a long and interesting history. It is one of the most recognizable logos in professional sports, and it has evolved over time to reflect the team’s changing identity. The original logo was designed by Tom Heilandt in 1996 when the team first joined Major League Soccer (MLS). The iconic “Wiz Star” featured prominently on this logo, with a blue star at its center surrounded by four white stars that represented each corner of Kansas City. This simple yet powerful design quickly became synonymous with soccer in Kansas City and around America.
In 2010, as part of an overall rebranding effort for MLS teams across North America, the Wiz unveiled their new primary logo which retained some elements from their original design while adding modern touches such as bolder colors and sharper lines to give it more impactful presence on uniforms or other merchandise items featuring this iconic symbol. The updated version also included three red stars instead of four - representing each decade that had passed since they were founded - along with two additional yellow stars honoring players who had made significant contributions to both club success during their careers or through charitable work outside soccer circles throughout the Greater KC area.
Today's version features an even brighter color palette than before which helps bring out all details within intricate designs found inside these five-star formations better than ever before! Moreover, there are several variations available depending upon the context where usage takes place: alternate versions include outlines only without any coloring; black & white silhouettes; full-color combinations etcetera – all helping keep the freshness alive despite being based on the same concept since the mid-1990s era!
