DC United Primary Logo
D.C. United is a professional soccer team based in Washington, D.C., and they have had several different primary logos throughout the years since its founding in 1996. The first logo was designed by an artist named Bill Willson and featured a bald eagle with its wings spread over two stars representing the District of Columbia's two states: Maryland and Virginia. This same logo would remain unchanged until 2004 when it was replaced with one that used more modern design elements such as bolder colors and sharper lines to create an updated look for the team’s image going forward into the 21st century.
The new version of this primary logo also included three stars instead of just two to represent all three branches of government within D.C.: executive, legislative, and judicial powers; along with four stripes on either side symbolizing unity among players from different backgrounds coming together as one united force on-field during matches or off-field through community outreach initiatives like DC Scores! In 2015 another update occurred where this time only minor changes were made including slightly altering some shapes within each element while still maintaining much resemblance to its predecessor from 11 years prior so fans could easily identify it upon sight alone without confusion or misidentification occurring due to drastic differences between them overall.
Overall these various versions help tell part of D.C United’s story over time regarding how they have evolved both visually but also internally through their commitment to making sure everyone involved feels connected no matter what background you may come from whether you are playing for them professionally or simply cheering them on at home games - something that has been seen since day 1 when their original crest debuted back in 1996 up until now today where we can see many similarities between past designs yet subtle improvements being made constantly too!
