Mercury Alternate Logo
The Phoenix Mercury has a long and illustrious history of alternate logos, each one more iconic than the last. From their original logo in 1997 to the current iteration, these logos represent the spirit and commitment of this WNBA franchise.
In 2011, following several successful seasons highlighted by back-to-back Western Conference titles in 2009 & 2010; it was time for another change-up as part of rebranding efforts ahead of their 15th anniversary season: A modern take on their classic phoenix head design complete with wings spread wide across its body symbolizing freedom from oppression or limitation – something all athletes should strive towards achieving every day!
Finally just last year we saw yet another update to what is now known affectionately as “Phoenix Fury” which features bolder lines around its face plus larger eyes giving off an even stronger sense of power ready to soar over any obstacle placed before them…just like our beloved team has done since day one here at home in sunny Phoenix AZ!!
