Dream Wordmark Logo
The Atlanta Dream is a professional basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The team was founded in 2008 and is based out of Atlanta, Georgia. As part of its branding efforts, the Dream has had several different wordmark logos throughout its history. In this blog post, we'll take a look at some of these logos and explore how they've evolved over time.
The original logo for the Dream featured an orange circle with white lettering that said "Atlanta" on top and "Dream" below it. This logo was used from 2008 to 2010 before being replaced by a new design featuring blue letters with an orange outline along with stars surrounding them. This version lasted until 2015 when it was updated to include more modern font choices as well as adding two additional stars around the outside edge of the circle to represent unity among players and fans alike.
In 2017, another update occurred which included changing up both colors used within each letter - one set being black while the other set remained blue - along with making slight adjustments to the overall shape so that all letters were slightly curved instead of straight lines like before; additionally, there were also changes made regarding placement/orientation too much that “DREAM” now appeared above “ATLANTA” rather than vice versa like previous versions had been displayed. Finally, last year saw yet another redesign happen wherein the primary color palette shifted away from blues & oranges into reds & whites while also introducing 3-dimensional effects onto some portions including star shapes located near the bottom portion which gave off an illusionary effect when viewed head-on (i.,e: appearing almost as if they are popping off page).
Overall since its inception back in 2008 through today's current iteration, there have been plenty of subtle tweaks done here or there but nothing drastic enough where you could say any single one stands out amongst the rest – meaning even after 11+ years brand identity remains largely unchanged proving testament towards strength behind core values held by the organization itself!
