Sting Primary Logo
The Charlotte Sting is a professional women’s basketball team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Sting was founded in 2006 and played their first season of WNBA basketball in 2007. Throughout the years, the franchise has had several logos that have represented the team’s identity and values. In this blog post, we will take a look at some of these logos as well as discuss how they reflect on what it means to be a member of the Charlotte Sting family.
When the franchise was established back in 2006, its primary logo featured an orange-and-black color scheme with an abstract design featuring two overlapping circles with stars inside them – representing both strength and unity within our organization – along with three stripes running across it to represent speed and agility on the court while playing for us here at “the hive” (our home arena). This logo was used until 2011 when we decided to switch up our look by introducing an updated version that included more vibrant colors such as yellow & purple plus added elements like lightning bolts symbolizing power & energy associated with being part of this great organization!
As far back as 2014 though there have been rumors floating around about possible changes coming soon but nothing concrete until recently when finally after much anticipation fans got their first glimpse at what could possibly become our new official primary logo: A black shield-shaped outline containing 4 different colored lines (orange/yellow/purple/white) forming together into one larger shape resembling something similar to wings or claws - all designed perfectly so that no matter where you stand or sit you can always see just how powerful our brand truly is!
We believe that this new design embodies everything important about who we are: Strength through unity; Power from within; Speed toward success… All qualities necessary for any successful sports program - especially ours here at The Hive!! So whether you're watching games live from courtside seats or streaming them online make sure to keep your eyes peeled because chances are pretty good now more than ever before if someone asks “who plays the ball down there? You'll know exactly who they mean!
