Stars Logo History
The Los Angeles Stars logo has a long and storied history. The team was founded in 1967 as the Anaheim Amigos, and their first logo featured an orange basketball with a yellow star above it. This design lasted until 1971 when the team moved to Los Angeles and became known as the Stars. At this time, they changed their logo to feature a blue star with white trim on top of an orange basketball set against a black background.
This classic look remained unchanged until 1997 when new ownership took over the franchise and decided to give it more of an urban feel by changing its colors from blue/white/orange to purple/black/gold; however, they kept the same basic design for its primary mark – just swapped out some colors! The change didn’t last too long though because after two seasons (1999-2000) they reverted back to their original color scheme once again which is still used today: blue & white stars on top of an orange background surrounded by black borders around them all together creating one cohesive image that represents both LA’s past (with its original color scheme) & present (with modernized fonts).
Since then, minor tweaks have been made but overall there haven't been any major changes or revamps done since 2000 so if you're looking for consistency in branding then look no further than what's become synonymous with this iconic West Coast club -the LA Stars Logo! From humble beginnings in Anaheim all those years ago up through today's iteration -it really is quite remarkable how much staying power these simple yet effective designs have had over decades worth of sports fandom!
